After many years of city living, two years ago I packed up the dog and the cat and moved to the beautiful Wye Valley. Since my move I have been fortunate to view and photograph some amazing property interiors and gardens, from country pubs, to swish hotels, accommodating guest houses, charming holiday cottages and grandiose private homes.
An invitation to photograph an interior or garden is always exciting, providing a ‘snapshot’ of the occupants or business beyond. In todays competitive markets real estate, architecture, restaurants and the hospitality industry all require professional photography for marketing and promotion. I find the right perspective, capture the space and sell the dream. Interior and garden shots must entice the audience while remaining true to the space and design.
Composition and lighting is key for interior photography. The ability to create depth within the space, working with foreground and background. Light must be balanced to avoid bright highlights or dark shadow areas. I work with natural light using available light sources, like the glow of a fire, for an added dimension.

Want to sell or rent your property online without an estate agent, if so, using a professional photographer is a must.
It seems the future of the property market is undergoing a dramatic change with buyers opting to sell and rent their homes online without the need of an estate agent. By ‘cutting out the middleman’ you can literally save yourself hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pounds. With 98% of all property searches now being made online at sites like RightMove, Zoopla, Find a Property, Globrix and Prime Location it is understandable that there is a growing demand for online estate agents. Sarah Beeny’s Channel 4 series How To Sell Your Home has highlighted the enormous interest around selling our homes online, and with online agents like Open House, House Network, Housesimple, Emoov and Tepilo it really couldn’t be easier.
Professional property photography can make all the difference in selling your home. Buyers won’t click through to your property details if they are put off by the photos. A professional property photographer can make your property stand out, they will know which shots to take and how to get the best out of each room view. This can mean the difference in achieving a sale close to your asking price or not.
So, if you are planning to sell or rent a property online and need photos contact Sarah for more information or book our online property package today.
